What each skill does

Each one reports facts, not scores, and never invents product details. The folder name is the one Claude sees; the grey line is a line from its reply.

Install once, then just ask

A skill is a folder with one file. The Claude app takes the zip; Claude Code takes one command; any agent with a shell can read install.md and do it for you. After that you ask in plain words and Claude picks the skill up by itself.

These steps install all five. Each skill's page installs just that one.

A skill, or a connection to the shop?

A skill

Knows only what you paste in: the title, the tags, a photo. It works in any Claude plan that runs skills, with or without Tusella. You copy the result into Etsy yourself.

What they won't do

  • No scores. Counts and rule checks you can verify, not a 0–100 guess.
  • No invented facts. A missing size or material becomes a question or a [placeholder].
  • No publishing. A skill has no access to your shop. Only you press publish.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Claude Skill?

A folder with one SKILL.md file: plain-text instructions Claude loads when your request matches. It makes Claude do a job the same way every time, like counting 13 tags against Etsy's 20-character limit.

How do I install one?

Download the zip. In the Claude app, open Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload it. In Claude Code, run npx skills add tusella/etsy-claude-skills. Then ask normally; the skill loads by itself.

Are these skills safe to install?

Each one is a single text file with no scripts. Open the SKILL.md link next to any skill and read every line before installing. That's a good habit with any skill you download.

Do the skills give my listing a score?

No. Nobody outside Etsy knows how its ranking weighs a listing, so a score would be a guess. The skills report things you can check: character counts, empty tag slots, a missing video, a photo that gets cropped.

Can a skill publish to Etsy by itself?

No. A skill is instructions, not access to your shop. To let Claude read and edit real listings, connect it through the Tusella MCP connector, which saves changes as drafts you publish yourself.

What do the skills cost?

Nothing. Use them, change them, share them. They need a Claude plan that can run skills; Tusella is not required.
