Pinterest Pins from an Etsy listing: a free Claude Skill
Pinterest is a search engine people use to plan things: gifts, rooms, weddings. A Pin that says what the item is and when you'd want it gets found; "Shop now!!" doesn't. This skill writes three Pins per listing, each from a different angle.

Pin 1 of 3: angle "gift"Title (57/100): Linen apron with pockets, a practical gift for home cooksDescription (206/800): A flax linen apron with two front pockets and an adjustable neck strap, for anyone who cooks most nights. Fits most sizes and softens with every wash. A useful housewarming or birthday gift for a home cook.Alt text (102/500): A natural beige linen apron with two front pockets hanging from a wooden hook on a white kitchen wall.Board: Kitchen giftsImage: photo 3 (apron on a hook), crop to 2:3Link: <listing URL>
What it changes
The Pin title. Red is what came in; green is what the skill hands back.
- Title (≤ 100 characters), description (≤ 800) and alt text (≤ 500), counted.
- Three variants that differ in angle (use, gift, style), not just wording.
- Picks the most specific of your boards, or suggests one new board.
- Tells you which photo to use and whether to crop it to vertical 2:3.
- Alt text that describes the image, not a pile of keywords.
What it checks
The rules in the file, as the file states them.
- Pin title
- ≤ 100 chars · the first ~40 show in the feed
- Description
- ≤ 800 chars · the first ~50 matter most
- Alt text
- ≤ 500 chars · what is literally in the image
- Image
- vertical 2:3, e.g. 1000 × 1500 px
- Variants
- 3 by default · different angles, not wording
- Hashtags
- 0–3, never a wall
What it won't do
- Post. The skill writes the Pins; you post them.
- Invent prices, discounts or claims.
- Hide an AI-edited photo. It tells you Pinterest may label it.
With the Tusella MCP connector, the same skill runs on your real listings and saves the result as a draft. Nothing reaches Etsy until you publish.

Install, then ask
Three ways in. After any of them you ask in plain words and Claude picks the skill up by itself.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install it?
Download the zip, then in Claude open Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload it. In Claude Code, run npx skills add tusella/etsy-claude-skills --skill pinterest-pins-from-etsy. Then just ask; the skill loads by itself.
Does it post to Pinterest?
The skill writes the Pins; you post them. With the Tusella MCP connector, Claude can create Pin drafts with your listing's photos and publish or schedule them when you explicitly ask.
What about the AI modified label?
Pinterest may label Pins made from AI-edited or AI-generated images. The skill tells you when that might happen instead of trying to hide it.
