Claude Skills for Etsy sellers

A Claude Skill is a small instruction file that teaches Claude one job. Install it once, and Claude does that job the same way every time you ask, no long prompt to paste.

We’re two Etsy sellers who build Tusella. These are the checks we run on our own listings, written down as skills. They’re free, each one is a single readable file, and none of them invents facts about your product.

The skills

All of them, with install steps for the Claude app and Claude Code, are on one page: tusella.com/claude-skills.

• Etsy listing audit. Checks one listing against Etsy’s own limits and reports plain facts with fixes. No made-up scores.
• Titles and 13 tags. Tags that fit 20 characters, each one counted, which chatbots usually get wrong.
• Description writer. Opens with what the item is, its size and material, and asks for any facts it doesn’t have.
• Pinterest Pins from a listing. Pin title, description, alt text and board for an Etsy listing.
• Main photo check. Will Etsy’s square, mobile and email crops cut your product?

How to install a skill

1. Download the zip from the skill’s page.
2. Claude app: Settings → Capabilities → Skills → upload the zip. Claude Code: unzip into ~/.claude/skills/.
3. Ask normally: “audit this Etsy listing” and paste it. Claude picks the skill up by itself.

Skills vs connecting Claude to your shop

A skill only knows what you paste in. If you want Claude to read your actual listings and save edits, that takes a connection to the shop. Tusella’s MCP connector does that: Claude works on drafts, and nothing goes live on Etsy until you review and publish it. The skills work with or without it.
